April 7: Prime Minister Will Open International Conference “Internet in State Administration”

Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Mirek Topolánek has assumed the auspices over the 11th yea of the International Conference “Internet in State and Self-Administration” (ISSA) and will attend and deliver a speech at its ceremonial opening on Monday, 7 April 2007.

In addition to discussion on further director of e-Government, the agenda of the two-day conference will include a number of other important topics, such as multi-platform services for people, public administration portals, communication infrastructure, GIS systems, mapping services and security issues. The conference will also discuss information about project funding from EU sources and duties of self-government arising from amendments to ICT laws and standards. A part of the conference will focus on “best practices” of cities, municipalities and regions. Like previous conferences, this conference will be also attended by a number of outstanding personalities from domestic and foreign political sphere, representatives of government authorities, self-government and IT firms.
