June 27, 2008: Czech Government Meeting

Meeting on Friday, June 27, 2008, at 9:00 a.m., the members of the Government of the Czech Republic will discuss, among other issues, the following topics: 

? preparation of the Czech Republic’s state budget for 2009 and medium-term outlook for the years 2010 and 2011; 

? information on the implementation of the tasks in the second stage of the pension reform;

? draft amendment to the Income Taxes Act;

? motion submitted by deputies on the promulgation of a constitutional act on the referendum on the direct vote of the President of the Republic;

? comprehensive proposal for the financial and personnel provision for the performance of the Czech Republic’s presidency of the Council of the European Union for 2009;

? recommendation submitted by the Government Council for Equal Opportunities for Men and Women on the addition of the criminal offence of stalking to the Criminal Code;

? concept for a national resettlement programme and the resettlement of a group of Burmese refugees from Malaysia within the framework of the pilot resettlement programme.
