September 19 - 20, 2008: Premier To Visit the Moravian-Silesian Region and Decorate Soldiers

At 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2008, Czech Premier Mirek Topolánek will be attending a ceremony marking the end of the reconstruction project of the Infection Pavilion of the Ostrava Teaching Hospital. In addition to this particular department, the Czech Prime Minister will also see the local Oncology Pavilion whose overall reconstruction is to get under way later this year.

The 8th NATO Days in Ostrava, marking the 90th anniversary of the Czechoslovak Air Force and held under the auspices of Czech Premier Mirek Topolánek, will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2008. The Premier, together with other guests, will be attending the programme from 10 a.m. In the official part of the event he will present commemorative medals to the members of the first PRT Loghar contingent, review a combat battalion and award the Karel Kramář medal for bravery to selected members of the mission and to the surviving family members of the soldiers who had lost their lives in the mission.
