October 8-9, 2008: Official Visit to Turkey

Czech Premier Mirek Topolánek will be visiting Turkey on October 8 and 9, 2008.

He will have bilateral talks with his Turkish counterpart Recept Tayyip Erdogan and with Ali Nabacané, Turkish Foreign Minister and the country’s chief negotiator of Turkey’s accession to the European Union.
In Ankara, the Czech Prime Minster will lay wreaths in the mausoleum of the founder of the Republic of Turkey Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. On the occasion of the inauguration of a new academic year, Premier Topolánek will deliver a speech at the Ankara University on the role of Turkey in the globalized world. The Czech Premier will also attend a meeting of the Working Committee for Energy, a special body set up at the initiative of the Czech-Turkish mixed economic commission. 

Heading a Czech delegation, Prime Minister Topolánek will also hold talks with Turkish political and business leaders in Istanbul on Thursday, October 9.
