October 20, 2008: Czech Government Meeting;Press Conference at 1:00 p.m.

 Meeting on Monday, October 20, 2008 at 9:00 a.m., the members of the Government of the Czech Republic will be discussing, among other issues, the following items: 

- draft amendment to the Act on the country’s land fund; 
- theses for the drafting of a new bill on supplementary pension schemes; 
- Senate-proposed Bill on the principles governing mutual and external negotiations and contacts between the House of Deputies and the Senate; 
- Senate-proposed draft amendment to the Act on the Rules of the House of Deputies;
- conclusion of the Supreme Control Office from its control No. 07/22 “Construction of the Justice Palace in Brno“;
- information on the implementation of measures adopted to eliminate shortcomings identified by the Supreme Control Office during its control No. 07/19 “Management of the funds from the state budget earmarked for selected investment projects of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic“;
- position of the Ministry of Transportation on the conclusion of the Supreme Control Office from its control No. 07/25 “Financial means earmarked for the purpose of securing the safety of railway transport and passengers“;
- proposed changes in the state administration of research, development and innovations;
- proposed candidates for the Government’s National Award “The Czech Head“ for 2008;
- proposed candidates for the Award of the Chairman of the Government’s Council for Research and Development for 2008.
