Mirek Topolánek continues the talks to resolve the Russia/Ukraine dispute over gas supplies

Last evening, Mirek Topolánek met in Bratislava with his counterparts from the Visegrad 4 group – Slovak Prime Minister Fico, Polish Prime Minister Tusk and Hungarian Prime Minister Gyurcsány.

The President of the European Commission, José Manuel Barroso, also participated in the talks.

After his arrival in Prague, Mirek Topolánek also met with the Polish President, Lech Kaczynski, to discuss the issue during a one-hour meeting taking place shortly after midnight.

The Czech Prime Minister intends to continue multilateral talks which would help to restore supplies of Russian gas through Ukraine to the EU countries.
