J. Chmiel sent his condolences to his Polish counterpart

Prague, 10 April 2010  – Following the tragedy occurred today near the Smolensk airport, the Minister for EU affairs Juraj Chmiel sent his condolences to his Polish counterpart Mikołaj Dowgielewicz, State Secretary for EU affairs.

„I was shocked to learn about the crash of your President's plane.  I would like to express my greatest sorrow for the national tragedy and terrible loss to Poland. I myself have a Polish ancestry and thus feel a huge sense of solidarity. My thoughs are with the Polish people, particulary the families of those who lost their lives today,“ said Mr Chmiel in a statement.
