Conference on Growth and Competitiveness took place at Prague

On 9th May 2012, the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic organized together with the European Commission Representation in the Czech Republic, the European Parliament Information Office in the Czech Republic, the Confederation of Employers' and Entrepreneurs' Associations of the Czech Republic and the Czech Business Representation to the EU in Brussels the conference “Competitiveness and Growth”. European Commissioner for Enlargement Stefan Füle and State Secretary for European Affairs Vojtech Belling came to conclusion on sharing priorities they consider important to overcome the current debt crisis. Vojtech Belling reminded the Czech Strategy for Growth and Competitiveness, that was adopted in autumn 2011. The strategy includes more than 200 measures focusing on improvement of the institutional framework, enhancing the infrastructure capacity, support of educational system and providing new incentives for labor market. Utilizing the strategy, the Czech government strives for achieving the position among the 20 most competitive countries in the world.
