Galileo comes to Prague - what are the impacts for the Czech Republic?

On Thursday, 20th September 2012, the Eurocentre Prague organised a seminar focused on the inauguration of the seat of GSA agency (supporting the Galileo navigation system) in Prague. Opening speech was given by Mr Martin Stašek, spokeperson of the European Commission Representation in the Czech Republic. The following presentation delivered by Mr Karel Dobeš, representative of the Czech Government for the cooperation with GNSS agency, clarified technical details of the Galileo system as well as benefits which the placement of GSA agency seat in Prague brings for the Czech Republic. These can be identified through the technology promotion of Czech enterprises and subsequent improvement of competitiveness of the Czech economy in general.
