Meeting with Mayors of the Winner Municipalities of the “2006 Village of the Year” Contest

The purpose of the contest is to commend the activities of municipalities, their representatives and citizens who seek to improve their homes, develop local traditions, and engage in the community and social life in their municipality. The contest is organised by the Association for Regeneration of Rural Areas, the Union of Towns and Municipalities of the Czech Republic and the Ministry for Regional development.

The Prime Minister will deliver a short speech in the course of the ceremony.
The event will take place at Lichtenštejnský palác, U Sovových mlýnů 4/506, Praha 1, at 03.30 p.m.
