The Czech Republic Supports Macedonia's Accession to the EU and NATO

Prime Minister Petr Nečas Meets With Gjorge Ivanov, the President of the Republic of Macedonia.

Support for the Western Balkans' integration, cooperation on education and strengthening economic cooperation were the topics of talks between the Czech delegation, led by Prime Minister Petr Nečas, and the Macedonian delegation, led by President Gjorge Ivanov.

According to Nečas, the scope of cooperation between the Czech Republic and Macedonia in the area of education is encouraging. In addition to traditional summer schools in the Czech or Macedonian languages held annually in both countries, both languages are regularly taught in universities.

The activities of Czech language lecturers at the university in Skopje is also important. The Czech education ministry and its embassy supports Czech language courses through book donations and copies of new Czech films.
