Government Council for Information Society

The Government Council for the Information Society (RVIS) is a permanent governing, advisory, initiation and coordination body of the government for the development of digital services in public administration and eGovernment. 

RVIS also deals with the Digitální Česko programme, management of the implementation of the Information Concept of the Czech Republic, the use of information and communication technologies, including artificial intelligence, automation and robotisation in public administration, the area of information society and other areas of the digital agenda, including its European dimension. 

The Government Council for the Information Society (RVIS) was established by Government Resolution No. 293 of 28 March 2007. The current Council Statute was approved by Government Resolution No. 673 of 17 August 2022.

Until August 27, 2022, the Council operated under the auspices of the Ministry of the Interior.
